We’re creating a playful learning and creativity app for ages 2–8. Draw, discover, and play with Patchy through open-ended activities and optional guided adventures. We’re imagining one family journey from newborn through age 8: parent-operated Quiet Time audio for the earliest years, with interactive creativity designed for ages 2–8.
A development test is now available for review. Final content and physical-device testing are still in progress; this is not a finished release.

We’re building for mobile and desktop with an installable web app. Use the development test and instructions below to help us check the experience on your devices.
Automated browser checks have passed. Real iPhone, iPad and Android testing and final content review are still pending.
Quiet Time, chosen by grown-ups
Quiet Time is parent-operated audio, including for families with children under 2. A child does not need to watch the screen. In this test, Quiet Time works in the foreground: keep the app open. Screen-off or locked-device playback is not supported.
A space for each child
Test profiles are stored locally on the device. They are not online child accounts. Parents choose activities and settings for each profile.
Made for offline moments
Core activities are intended to work offline after the initial setup. Setup, updates, and new packs would need a connection. Offline video is planned for later.
Keep their creations close
Artwork and profiles stay in this browser or installed app on this device. They do not automatically sync. Clearing browser data, removing the app or losing the device may lose work. Use the parent-managed encrypted backup and restore tools. Data from a localhost preview does not appear here automatically.

On a phone or tablet, scan the code or use the link. The QR opens the same app address; it does not install anything automatically.
Before you begin: create a parent PIN and keep the recovery code somewhere safe. Use a test profile and try saving, sound and your favorite activities.

- Open Share (under More on some layouts), then choose Add to Home Screen.
- Enable Open as Web App if offered, then tap Add.
Open the new icon to try it. Menu labels depend on your iOS or iPadOS version.

Chrome’s installation guide ↗Test availability: served from our studio Mac. The Mac, external drive and connection must be running for remote setup and updates. Core offline readiness is being tested after initial online setup; Quiet Time is foreground-only. This is a web app test, not an App Store or Google Play release.
Profiles and artwork are local to this browser or installed app. They do not automatically sync or transfer from a localhost preview. Keep encrypted backups before changes; don’t clear storage to fix an issue. Send device details and feedback to support@doodlepatchkids.com.

Can we install the app now?
Yes, a development test is available using the link and instructions above. It is for testing and feedback, with physical-device and final content review still pending. No public production-release date has been set.
Which devices are you planning for?
Mobile and desktop are part of our direction. We’re starting mobile-first with an installable web app for Apple and Android devices. Desktop installation and the exact supported devices and browsers still need to be confirmed and tested.
Will it work without the internet?
Core offline behavior has passed automated browser checks after setup. Please test it on your own device; real mobile-device acceptance is still pending. Initial setup and updates need internet access. Offline episodes and pack releases are not available.
Will each child have a profile?
The test has separate local profiles, with artwork and settings stored on the device. They do not automatically sync. Parent-managed encrypted backup and restore can transfer work; keep your recovery information safe.
Are packs available? Does every child need a separate download?
No packs are available yet. Our plan is to share each download across profiles on one device, while letting parents enable content per child and select themes per profile. Pack contents, age guidance, compatibility, sizes, versions, and update notes will be listed before release.
Who is the app being designed for?
Interactive drawing, discovery, and play are being designed for ages 2–8. Parents would choose activities by their child’s age and ability. For families with younger children, including babies under age 2, the test includes separate Quiet Time audio that a parent operates. Final activity and pack guidance will be provided before release.
Could we use it on a TV someday?
We’re exploring future screen sharing from a phone or tablet to a TV. Mirroring would depend on compatible devices and TV hardware, and we have not verified it. A dedicated Fire TV app is also a possibility for separate future development; it is not part of the current mobile web app plan or available to install. These ideas have no release date.
What is Quiet Time in this test?
Quiet Time is parent-controlled audio, separate from interactive activities for ages 2–8. A grown-up chooses and operates it. This test requires the app to stay open in the foreground; it does not support screen-off or locked-device playback.
